Reminiscences of Buffalo since 1836, 1869.

Reminiscence of his journey from Vermont to Buffalo in 1836, via Lake Champlain steamer, railroad, and "opposition" packet boat on the Erie Canal, and his work as a house painter. He gives a detailed account of the city at that time, including individuals (especially those for whom he worked) and residences. His negative opinions on many individuals appear to stem from his financial transactions with them.
